These beautiful jackets have been lovingly produced in Jaipur for us using old or vintage "kantha" stitched cotton blankets. "Kantha" means "old cloth" and refers to an age old art traditionally practiced by women in Bengal and India. Each blanket has been hand crafted by women throughout India and therefore no two are alike. We choose each blanket by colour or design and therefore each jacket is an exclusive "one off piece". Because the blankets have been washed and used the fabric is soft and the colours can be quite muted. Some pieces may have damage and this is the nature of the jacket it is not a fault.
